Mercedes-Benz Launches New M-Class in India


World renowned German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz announced the third generation sports utility vehicle M-Class priced at Rs.56.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With technologies like customized setting for engine performance, anti-lock braking, electronic stability and automatic transmission, the new M class is gearing up for a very good response.

 Commenting on the launch, Peter Honegg, managing director and chief executive, Mercedes-Benz, said, "At the start of this year, we had promised to introduce exciting new models into the market. We are proud to present today the new M-Class." He added, "We are confident that the quality drive and the luxurious experience it can deliver will be a big hit with the customers and it will be warmly received".

The AMG is yet another variant of the new vehicle, priced at Rs 66 lakh. It was completely sold off through pre-bookings even prior to the launch. According to Honegg, the company is looking forward to a boost in sales once the compact segment brands such as A-Class and B-Class make their foray into the market.
