Honda Brio Smallest Car Launched in Mumbai


Honda India finally launched its smallest car ‘Brio’ in Mumbai on Tuesday. With Brio being launched, the competition in the high volume compact car segment is set to heat up. Brio is designed and developed by Indian Engineers. It is launched in petrol version. It will be made available in 4 variants – SMT, EMT, S(O)MT, and VMT, and six vibrant colors - Energetic Blue, Rallye Red, Urban Titanium, Alabaster Silver, Taffeta White and Crystal Black Pearl.

It is priced between 4.18 lakhs & 5.14 lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai). In New Delhi Brio’s Price starts with 3.95 lakhs. It gives awesome mileage of 18.4 km per liter. Brio is posed to give tough competition to cars like i10 and Maruti Swift.

Brio is being manufactured at Noida facility and is 80 % localized. Commenting on the launch, HSCI President and CEO Takashi Nagai mentioned, ‘"The Brio is at present about 80% localized and over the next few months, it will reach 90%.” He said, “"With Brio, we will be entering a new segment for the first time in India. It has been designed and developed specially to meet the needs of customers here.”

The booking for Brio will start immediately in 83 cities. Their leadership network is likely to increase with 143 facilities and 91 cities.
