Suzuki Splash all set to be launched in India

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest passenger carmaker is all set to launch the Suzuki Splash, a small car orientated strongly towards the European design style by early 2009. An official of the company informed that the model would be placed between Zen Estilo and Swift.

Based on an all-new platform, the car will be the natural choice for the Maruti Suzuki's next small car in India. The car may replace the WagonR model, though it could not be officially confirmed by the company.

According to certain sources, this new car would be available in 3 models- 2 petrol and one diesel mated with a 5 speed manual gearbox and will be within Europe's much debated Co2 emission cap of 140g/km. Like the A-Star concept, the Splash will also be an A-segment car and will be rolled out from Maruti's state-of-the-art plant in Manesar, near Gurgaon.
