2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Car

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Mitsubishi has confirmed that its Lancer Evolution will bow out of the market after the 2015 model year, and at this point it’s not clear what will replace it. Mitsubishi has said in the past that any successor to the Evo will be very different to past generations of the car, with many suggesting it will be a hybrid car mitsubishi.

Unfortunately, it may be several years still until we see a proper successor launched, as Mitsubishi has also said it won’t start development of such a car until it has suitable technology.

As for the final 2015 Lancer Evolution, there aren’t many updates to report on. The side mirrors are now heated and feature integrated turn signals, while a new drop cup holder with lid has been installed in the cabin.

For the GSR, standard features still include a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, six-speaker stereo, leather sports steering wheel, hands-free and USB connectivity, 18-inch wheels and Brembo brakes. A five-speed manual also continues to be standard, while a new Premium Package is being offered and includes Mitsubishi’s Sight and Sound Package plus leather seating, power glass sunroof, heated front seats, sound dampening enhancement and piano-black accents on the dash.

Opting for the MR model sees the 2015 Lancer Evolution benefit from a number of additional features including a nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system, xenon headlights, a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs, two-piece brake rotors, and 18-inch BBS forged wheels.

No changes have been made to the powertrain, which means the car’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is still pumping out 291 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Drive still goes to all four wheels via Mitsubishi’s unique Super All-Wheel Control all-wheel-drive system. The setup integrates a number of separate systems to aid handling, such as those controling yaw, a center differential, stability and anti-lock braking
system Mitsubishi.
