Thirteen years after it last rolled its way into the hearts of Kiwi drivers, the City is back - however the all-new 2009 Honda City even leaves its predecessors behind, combining street smart features with fashion-forward styling and superior driving dynamics in a new sassy City sedan.
This third-generation Honda City is perfect for drivers who want a car that knows how to get around town while looking good and making the usual city stresses of parking, manoeuvring and stop-start traffic not only easy, but enjoyable.

Two models are available (the City S and more featured City E) and both boast a 1.5-litreSOHC i-VTEC engine with an output of 88kW and 145Nm. A frugal fuel economy of 6.3L/100km (in the manual, 6.6 Auto) will see City drivers winning at the pump and with CO2 emissions of only 148g/km, it's an environmentally sound choice also.
Although a small car, the City doesn't scrimp on space or features. It positively over delivers on interior and boot capacity - easily accommodating five adults in comfort andboasting a bigger boot (506 litres VDA) than rest of the Honda sedan range and many other large cars.
This vehicle delivers more power, space and fuel efficiency than all previous model Civic's, with the exception of the latest generation.
The City S comes comprehensively equipped with tilt adjustable steering, power windows and mirrors, alarm and central locking and an iPod/MP3 ready single in-dash CD stereowith MP3 player compatibility. It has a raft of safety equipment as standard - ABS brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist, dual front,side and curtain airbags and front seatbelt pre-tensioners.
Meanwhile the City E adds telescopic steering, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome doorhandles, fog lights, sports trim and a leather steering wheel and shift knob.
The City E is available 5-speed automatic transmission from the Civic, while the City S isavailable in both 5 speed auto or 5 speed manual.
