As per the recent developments in the Indian car market, German car maker, Volkswagen is all set to launch its much awaited Volkswagen Jetta in August 2011. Volkswagen Jetta will be a midsize sedan car which will compete with leading brands in India like Maruti and Ford.
The revamped version of Volkswagen Jetta is likely to be available in petrol and diesel variants. The Volkswagen Jetta will have a 2.0L TDI diesel and 1.8L TSI petrol under the hood. But the high petrol prices in India will make the diesel variant of the German car to beat its petrol counterpart in sales figures.
The new Volkswagen Jetta will offer a sportier and wavy appearance as compared to the existing model. On the other hand, the interiors of the German car will deliver high comfort and elegance and is equipped with a new dashboard and styling. The resistance rolling for tires, BlueMotion and new navigation system are the other highlights. The Volkswagen Jetta 2011 will have a DSG gearbox which will be affixed with six-speed Automatic Transmission/Manual Transmission. The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta will also be longer than the current version which indicates there is more legroom.
The Volkswagen Jetta in the midsize sedan car segment with the retouched look will make the car compete with big players like Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic.
