German automaker BMW have been busy of late, not only have they been working on the recently mentioned 2010 BMW 5 Series F10, we have now learned that BMW have been out and about with their new BMW 6 Series Cabrio. This test was a little different than normal, as it was done on ice.
Autoblog reports that Auto Express News were on hand with cameras at the ready to witness the new BMW 6 Series doing a number of powerslides on the ice while in Scandinavia. We just hope that the testers did not decide to put the roof down.
The shape of the new 6 Series is much the same as the current model, not that there is anything wrong with that. I am not a fan of BMWs latest designs all expect the 6 Series. According to a number of reports, the new convertible version will be more refined as all of the panel will be replaced.
I have never been a lover of soft-top BMWs, but they do not like the extra weight that a hardtop brings with it as well as the extra boot space that the hard top requires.
The new model will come with a choice of a 4.8-litre V8 and 3.0-litre petrol engine; there are also plans for a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder diesel version. Expect to see the new BMW 6 Series
