The models are available for order in Romania as of August.
The two models come with the new V8 turbocharged engine that develops 408kW/555 hp at 6,000 rpm engine speed and 4.395 cc cylinder capacity. The new M Twin Turbo engine is the first power unit with a common exhaust manifold for both rows of cylinders equipped with Twin Scroll Twin Turbo.
BMW X5 M and BMW X6 come with the standard intelligent xDrive Dynamic Performance Control.
Both models accelerate to 100km/h within 4.7 seconds and emerge with the maximum torque of 680 Nm available on a 1,500 – 5,650rpm engine speed range.
Featured for the first time on a BMW M model, the new X5s and X6s come with a 6-speed transmission.
Both models feature standard drivetrain and suspension components that enable self-leveling rear air suspension, as well as Adaptive Drive system with electronic damping control (EDC) and active roll stabilization. The special version of Adaptive Drive lowers the entire vehicle by 10 millimeters versus the standard BMW X5 and BMW X6 and incorporates stiffer carrier springs and damper control with reinforced connection to the body.
The special Servotronic steering provides variable speed-adjusted steering assistance enabling comfortable parking maneuvers.
The standard features range includes electrical seat adjustment complete with a memory function and seat heating at the front, two-zone automatic air conditioning, extended Merino leather, a HiFi audio system with 12 loudspeakers and 230 Watt amplifier output, M entry trim, an M footrest, interior trim in brushed Aluminium Shadow on both models as well as a BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather.
