Aston Martin said it is gearing up to enter Turkey with a new dedicated dealership in Istanbul, forming part of the company’s ongoing plans to grow the Aston Martin dealership network in new and developing markets.
The new showroom, which will open in partnership with Borusan Otomotiv , will be located at Süzer Plaza, in Dolmabahçe, an affluent area of Istanbul and will officially open in January 2011. A press briefing was held to announce the association between Borusan Otomotiv and Aston Martin. The briefing was attended by Borusan Holding CEO Mr. Agah Uğur, Borusan Otomotiv Executive Committee Co Chairman Eşref Biryıldız together with senior management from the Aston Martin team.
Commenting on the partnership, Michael van der Sande, Aston Martin Chief Commercial Officer said, “Turkey represents a new opportunity for us and a chance to bring the Aston Martin brand to just a few more people. Our decision to expand to Turkey is driven by a strong interest from potential customers who appreciate quality, superior technology, and understanding of craftsmanship."
“Having 430 m2 area, the showroom will display a selection of sports cars from the current Aston Martin range and be staffed by a team of dedicated, specially trained employees,” Aston Martin said in a press release.
“Aston Martin Istanbul will then present its customers and enthusiasts a unique product experience by being able to view and test-drive selected models from the entire range of V8 Vantage, DB9, DBS, V12 Vantage and new four-door sports car, the Rapide,” it added.
The opening of the Aston Martin Istanbul showroom strengthens the company’s global dealership network to a total of 128 around the world.
