Japanese two-wheeler major Yamaha recently unveiled in India Yamaha FZ1 998cc motorcycle in the high end bike segment. Excluding showroom of Delhi Yamaha FZ1 998cc is priced at RS 8.7 lakh.Yamaha FZ1 998cc is a naked sports bike with fuel-injected power and ‘Pure Torque’ for the mind blowing riding experience, Yamaha FZ1features a compact design.
"India is one of the key markets for Yamaha and we have been constantly shifting gears to transform the market from utility to pleasure and lifestyle," India Yamaha Motor CEO and Managing Director Hiroyuki Suzuki said in a statement.
The two manufacturing facilities of Yamaha Motor in India of motorcycles are placed in Uttar Pradesh at Surajpur and in Haryana at Faridabad. In the Indian market The Yamaha at present offers three high-end super bikes. These are VMAX, MT01 and YZF-R1.
At present Yamaha is busy doing deep study about the Indian market as it is planning to enter two wheeler segments (scooter segment), this decision is supposed to be taken in coming year.
