Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the latest variant of its top selling model Bajaj Pulsar 220cc in the final week of June 2009. Bajaj Pulsar 220cc model will replace the earlier version since it has a completely new DTS-i engine and is being billed as the fastest bike made in India.
It is claimed that the new Bajaj Pulsar 220cc will have a top speed of 140 kmph, which will be 15 kmph more than the earlier model (which had a max speed of 125 kmph). The price of this model is expected to be around Rs. 70,000, which is around Rs. 15,000 lesser than the current 220 cc version.

Earlier, the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi was launched in 2007, with impressive differentiating features like oil cooled, fuel injected engine, tubeless tyres, front and rear disc brakes, digital speedometer console and parabolic/ellipsoidal projector headlamps.
