Mercedes contemplates BMW X6 competitor

Mercedes Benz is widening its chain of SUVs and a new model Mercedes Benz GLS will rival the BMW X6. Scheduled to be launched in 2014, the all new four-seater has the same characteristic features that are attributed to Mercedes Benz M Class.

The new Mercedes Benz M Class will be priced at Rs 53, 50,000 to Rs 60, 90,000. According to the latest sales statistics, there is a huge potential for an off-road model with special emphasis on the new Mercedes M class models. It is expected that the GLS will part with practicality of the 5-seater M class and go for the sporty 4-seater interior. The roof will be racier and the styling cues will be from the CLS saloon.

The all new BMW is best known for the luxury aspect and diligent performance of the auto products. The BMW X5 is available in two variants namely BMW X5 xDrive30d and BMW X5 xDrive50i at a price range of Rs 54, 09,889 - Rs 69, 50,000.
