Mercedes-Benz
Canada announced that pricing will remain virtually identical to 2008
for the facelifted 2009 B-Class and the 2009 C-Class despite a new
design for the B-Class and additional standard features for both models.
The B-Class and C-Class already dominate their respective segments, and
the refreshed design and additional content will provide even greater
value for customers.
Pricing for the 2009 Mercedes-Benz B-Class
starts from $29,900 for the B200, and $34,400 for the B200 TURBO. For
2009, the redesigned B-Class features many enhancements including an
updated front end design, new rear bumper and revised tail lights, new
wheel design and more standard equipment including a new generation
audio and communications system with Bluetooth and in-dash CD Changer.
The
award-winning C-Class also features new standard equipment and an
optional new dynamic handling package for 2009. The Mercedes-Benz C230
starts from $35,800 for the rear wheel drive version and $39,500 for the
C230 4MATIC. The C300 with standard sport package starts from $41,200,
and the C300 4MATIC starts from $44,900. In addition, the powerful C350
will be priced from $48,200 for the sporty rear wheel drive version and
the 4MATIC C350 starts from $50,400.
President and CEO of
Mercedes-Benz Canada, Marcus Breitschwerdt, remarked: “The B-Class is a
Canadian exclusive model, and strong sales demonstrate that Canadians
have embraced this versatile vehicle. Since its release, the All-New
C-Class has been an outstanding seller, and a standard sport package on
the C300 and additional standard equipment for 2009 should ensure the
momentum continues for this award-winning vehicle. So far, it has been
another recordbreaking year for Mercedes-Benz. With aggressive pricing
on our thrilling 2009 product portfolio, we will continue to offer the
best value and satisfaction possible in every facet of the purchase
process and ownership experience.”
This follows the recent
announcement that prices will remain the same for the facelifted 2009
CLS-Class despite a new design and additional standard equipment. For
2009 the CLS550 will start from $93,500, and the powerful CLS63 AMG will
start from $128,300. Pricing was also recently released for the next
generation 2009 SL-Class and SLK-Class. For 2009 the SL-Class starting
price was reduced by more than $10,000 to start from $125,000 for the
SL550, and the SLK-Class price was improved by more than $3,000 to start
from $57,500 for the SLK300.
